Alia Bhatt expected to attend Cannes 2025 for closing ceremony?
Alia Bhatt is reportedly set to attend the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
There had been speculation that Bhatt might withdraw from the event due to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, it is believed that her delayed arrival is due to her commitments to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’.
A source close to the production told Mid-Day, “A major filming schedule began this week featuring the three leads. While Sanjay sir initiated the project last October, this marks the first time Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are shooting together. It will be an intense few days, with the director crafting some of the most emotionally demanding scenes for this segment.” Another insider noted that elaborate sets have been constructed for this phase of filming, which will continue throughout the week.

With Bhatt expected to complete her scenes by the weekend, she is likely to make her appearance at the Cannes closing ceremony on 24th May. A source stated, “As an ambassador for a leading beauty brand, Alia remains committed to her global representation responsibilities. She will head to France for the final leg of the prestigious film gala after wrapping up this critical stage of ‘Love and War’.”
