Triptii Dimri exits Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Aashiqui 3’

In a surprising development, Triptii Dimri has reportedly stepped away from Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 3’, which also stars Kartik Aaryan.

According to Mid-Day, the project, initially scheduled to begin production this year, has now been delayed indefinitely following Dimri’s exit.

A source revealed, “Triptii was excited to headline the romance, but that’s not going to happen now. Aashiqui 3 is undergoing a title-related dispute, which has further postponed its progress.”

Dimri had reportedly filmed a few scenes for the project last year. However, the exact reasons behind her decision to leave remain undisclosed.

In March 2024, T-Series head Kumar announced that he would produce the Kartik Aaryan-Anurag Basu collaboration under a new title, ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai’, distancing it from the ‘Aashiqui’ banner. By November, reports suggested Aaryan was advocating for the project to return to its original ‘Aashiqui’ branding, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the film’s future.
