Box Office: Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ opens bigger than Ajay Devgn’s ‘Azaad’

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Azaad’ and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ had a slow start at the box office on their opening day.

Ranaut’s political drama managed to take a slight lead, earning Rs. 2.35 crore net in India. In comparison, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Azaad’ brought in Rs. 1.50 crore, according to reports.

The head-to-head release has fuelled discussions about the performance of ‘Emergency’, which was expected to make a stronger impact.

The coming days will be crucial in determining the trajectory of both films at the box office.
