Box Office: ‘The Diplomat’ opens up poorly despite positive reviews

John Abraham’s latest release, ‘The Diplomat,’ has underperformed at the box office, despite receiving positive reviews.

As the only major new release during the Holi weekend, expectations were modest. However, the film was anticipated to capitalise on the holiday period. Unfortunately, the lack of effective marketing leading up to its release has resulted in a disappointing start at the box office.

Meanwhile, ‘Chhaava,’ starring Vicky Kaushal, continues to be the preferred choice for audiences since its release a month ago. The film has earned Rs. 39 crore nett in its fourth week, setting a record for an original Hindi film in its fourth week, only trailing ‘Pushpa 2.’
