Colors abruptly axes ‘Mera Balam Thanedaar’

Colors has abruptly decided to pull the plug on ‘Mera Balam Thanedaar’, leaving fans of the show stunned by the sudden announcement.

Reports indicate that the show’s cancellation stems from alleged issues surrounding lead actress Shruti Choudhary’s behaviour on set. The 16-year-old has been accused of unprofessional conduct, including frequent tantrums and delays during filming, which reportedly disrupted the production.

A source told India-Forums, “Shruti displayed unprofessional behavior that wore everyone out. She frequently arrived late on set, struggled to deliver her lines, and required numerous retakes for every scene.”

The source further elaborated, “Her repeated disruptions led to the producers replacing the original director. However, even after the change, her performance deteriorated further, which ultimately impacted the show’s quality. As a result, the decision was made to take the show off air.”

The actress’s parents have also reportedly been a point of contention, with claims that they regularly accompanied her to the set and interfered with the production process.
